If you can handle the heat, I think AMD is better, but it is not suitable for some people like me who work in graphics and therefore need to use Intel.

I was Intel fan untill I tried Ryzen. Cheaper, fast and not so hot, and you could upgrade it to ryzen 2 and 3 without change the mobo...I was sick of Intel chipset

OH NO!!!! THE CPU WARS ARE ON!

I feel this was a real missed opportunity for a poll....

Personally I love AMD threadrippers and ryzens these days for pure core count as a lot of stuff I do personally these days really takes advantage of the higher core count rather than clock speed.

However, at work, in the enterprise environment, Intel Xeon Platinums > AMD EPYC ROMEs - AMD is cheaper, you get more cores, but the core clock speeds are just so much lower and for HPC, it's just not enough grunt, especially with a lot of the web apps we power which are only lightly threaded.

for work, with some casual gaming (older rpg titles mostly), AMD 3400G - the most economical choice.

I love this build: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/pzQZxr

Intel is overhyped, overpriced, overrated... AMD offers more value for your money.

Intel Xeons for servers/workstations.
