Looking for good info on best practices for charging once a site is developed.  Things like ongoing development tasks to basic admin fee's and how much markup on hosting is fair and competitive.  Any thoughts? Thanks - red

I usually have a couple of options for the client to choose from for maintenance / support. Basic would be fixed price, and would mainly include maintenance, and an hourly plan for clients who need ongoing support, landing pages, data entry, etc...

IMHO The best is to have some 3 basic offers, and then have the custom options that is calculated in your money per quantity of your work time hours spend.

I think the best thing to charge for would be if they need SEO work (re-optimize, new words search, analysis etc). Another thing is if they need new content added and they don't know how to (although, I would set up templates so they can just fill em out and Post).

The price would be a factor of how much benefit they receive from the work you do.
