DDR3 Ram not recognized by Motherboard

Hi...

I have an MSI H61M-P21 (MS 7680) motherboard, supposed to support up to 16GB RAM based on the manufacturer's specs.

I have installed 2 x 4GG RAMs but unfortunately the last period it only recognizes the one slot... I believe that the second has been 'destroyed'.

I bought an 8GGB 1333 RAM but unfortunately, it is not recognized by the motherboard... while I start the PC, it makes three consecutive beeps.

Any ideas about it?

Thanks!

I believe it has at least these two assumptions: First would be the damaged slot. Second the 8gb memory is bad.

Have you tested only 8gb memory alone and in different slots?

potentially your motherboard slot is faulty. I have similar issue on my PC and my notebook as well..
