How do you guys motivate your team in doing things to be done (if you have one)?

Yea need to learn ways to help motivate my team.

The number one thing I have learned from working with remote teams is to actually care about your team. Show who you really are and your life and they will be more likely to share their life with you. Also be a positive force in their life. Remote teams are harder than working in person. It's like a long distance relationship. So you have to work harder to make yourself a real person.

It very much depends what you want them to do, different team members will have different motivations. You need to listen to and understand what drives each member. Make it clear what the end goal is and set a target. Make sure they see you working with them and see you driving the task forward.
