For me I can't switc from linux Mint no matter how hard I tried, and I tried a lot.

Linux MX might be faster but since you mentioned you want aestetics you might enjoy Pop!

But I really suggest you try to get to know linux mint. It's amazing once you get used to it. I tried every linux distro out there, and while they say that mint is for begginers I don't see as the case. Even after building my own Arch linux I slowly realized I'm slowly building linux mint again. So I just switched back. Also the community is very noob friendly and you can find about anything you want on google, if you don't you'll find it on ubuntu forums.

Almost any Debian derivative is easy to use for beginners. The challenge is finding the right combination between the Distribution and the Desktop Environment you use. I find vanilla Debian, Gnome Desktop and Arc Dark theme to work very well.

For a beginner or even intermediate Linux distro on desktop, I would recommend Ubuntu as it is very easy to install and setup; many tasks can be done even without a knowledge of the command line (like configuring the network). Choose the LTS (Long Term Support) version like 20.04 to have the maximum stability.

Ubuntu definietely for the start or ElementaryOS. The second is for complete beginners, but it will make any old PC faster.

Ubuntu is a great beginner distro. I use it as everyday OS. Got windows installed as well, mainly for very occasional use of adobe products (learned to use GIMP and Inkscape pretty well by now). I also have a NTFS partition that the two OSes share if I need to access files from both.
